Moving your save to a new phone

1. On your old phone, open Settings > Cloud backup and make sure Auto backup is on, then copy your Recovery Code.
2. On the new phone, install Crypt Crawlers, open Settings > Cloud backup and enter the Recovery Code.

Keep your Recovery Code private. Anyone who has it can restore your save. We will never ask for the full code; if you email us about a backup, send only its first 6 characters.

Your save lives on your phone. Deleting the app without a backup, or Settings > ERASE SAVE, removes it for good, and we cannot bring it back.

Leaderboard names

• Change your name at any time in Settings. Names are 3 to 14 characters. Rude names, and names that copy another player's, are refused.
• To hide a player on your device, or to report an offensive or copied name, open World Rankings, tap the player and choose HIDE PLAYER or REPORT NAME. We review every report and remove names that break the rules.
• To show hidden players again, tap SHOW ALL under World Rankings.

Leaderboard rules

Before the first name you choose is shown on World Rankings, the game asks you to agree to these rules. They apply to every player.

• No offensive, hateful, sexual or bullying names.
• No real names, contact details or links.
• Don't copy or pretend to be another player.

Zero tolerance. We review reported names within 24 hours. Names that break these rules are removed and the player is hidden from the board for everyone. Repeat offenders are hidden for good.

Ads

Ads are optional. An ad only plays when you tap a WATCH button, and the game can be played fully without them. If you finish an ad and did not get the reward, email us with the time it happened. You can change your ad privacy choices in Settings > AD PRIVACY CHOICES (where shown) and in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Report an ad

Saw an ad that was offensive, misleading or not right for a 13+ game? Tap Settings > REPORT AN AD (it opens this page) and email cryptcrawlerhq@gmail.com with the subject "Crypt Crawlers ad report", the date and time, which WATCH button you tapped, and what the ad showed (a screenshot helps). We block reported advertisers or categories in our ad settings. You can also tap the ad's own ⓘ / AdChoices icon to give feedback to Google.

The game won't load or crashes

• Close the app fully and open it again.
• Make sure you have the newest version from the App Store.
• If it keeps happening, email us what you were doing when it happened.

The leaderboard and cloud backup need an internet connection. The rest of the game works offline.

Deleting your data

In the app: Settings > DELETE MY DATA removes your leaderboard name and scores, profile card and cloud backup from our server, then erases the save on your phone. It cannot be undone, and it needs an internet connection.

Or email cryptcrawlerhq@gmail.com with the subject "Crypt Crawlers data deletion", your leaderboard name and, if you use cloud backup, the first 6 characters of your Recovery Code. We will remove your leaderboard rows, profile card and cloud backup and reply within 30 days. To remove the save on your phone, use Settings > ERASE SAVE or delete the app.

Terms of use

• Crypt Crawlers is free to play. The iPhone app offers optional in-app purchases (Gem packs, an Ad-Free Pass and looks-only cosmetics), sold and refunded by Apple under its App Store terms. Gems can also be earned by playing. Cosmetics never change stats.
• Lost a purchase? Settings > RESTORE PURCHASES (or the Shop) brings back the Ad-Free Pass, the Starter Pack hood and every cosmetic bought with your Apple ID (Gems that were spent are not restored). Purchases made in TestFlight are test purchases and do not carry over to the App Store version.
• Play fair. Cheating, exploiting bugs on purpose or flooding the leaderboard can get scores removed and a player hidden.
• Zero tolerance for objectionable content. Offensive, hateful, sexual or bullying names, and players who use them, are removed from the leaderboard. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. See Leaderboard rules above.
• The game is provided as is. We may change, balance or reset parts of it in updates.
• Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Credits and licenses

• Game, art, music and sound effects: made for Crypt Crawlers (the music and sounds are generated in the game; there are no third-party audio files).
• Fonts: Silkscreen (Copyright 2001 The Silkscreen Project Authors) and Press Start 2P (Copyright 2012 The Press Start 2P Project Authors, Reserved Font Name "Press Start 2P"), both under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
• Ads are served by Google AdMob under Google's AdMob policies.
